Large corporations including the likes of Sainsbury’s, Travis Perkins and Dixons Carphone have all received a financial incentive to install energy-efficient light-bulbs.
A total of £5 million of government funding is being shared amongst such organisations in an effort to reduce the companies’ electricity demands as fears have presented that the UK may face a rise of blackouts over course of the year.
The cost to install LED lighting into any commercial property can be expensive, however the benefits far outweigh the initial outlay, leading to significantly reduced energy bills and a reduction in a business’ carbon emissions.
DECC is currently trying to increase awareness and the uptake amongst charities, local councils and companies to install energy efficiency measures such as LED lighting. If your business requires any advice on how LED lighting can significantly benefit your business – please feel free to get in touch today on 0800 954 9689 and we can offer free advice with no obligations.
